About: It Started With Passion...
At the age of thirteen (13), Jason began to learn about the creation of websites at High School. Intrigued by the concept of websites and the World Wide Web, he began to self-teach himself more about website development which soon began his fascination with XHTML and CSS. After years of self-teaching in his spare time, Jason made a few websites for friends to further increase his experience which ignited his passion for website development even more.
After High School Jason ventured into the world of tertiary education, enrolling himself in the Diploma in WWW Page Programming and Design at Vision College in his hometown of Hamilton, New Zealand. After successfully completing his diploma in June 2007 with A-average marks, Jason started looking at web design firms in Hamilton in the hopes of seeking employment. After several months of trying with no real success in securing a job position, Jason instead decided to begin freelancing which has led him to gain clients and receive a steady workflow for himself. A decision, he says, that was worthwhile.
Shortly after beginning his freelancing venture, Jason partnered up with a friend to aid her new business. During this time, Jason was devoting his time to both his freelancing career and to his friend’s business with plans of expanding his horizons by keeping his knowledge current and up-to-date, and hoping to give a little back to those who kept him excited in learning the many things he has over the years - his family, friends, and the web development community.
